well I'll just go ahead and admit it, I focused WAY too much on the character and less on the background.
Yes I'm very unoriginal with backgrounds, so soooooooooorry.
and as the title says this is a request for :iconmintays:
Hope ya like it, I tried some different outline styles(and improved the outline from the last one)

The shading and colouring is very nice and the detail on the wings is good.

Sorry, but the shading just looks...a little too metallic for water...plus the flames just look like you had fun with the smudge tool, and the burnt ground...looks like you tried too hard to make it look burned.

Yeah, the shading does look too metallic.

Also, you made Whisper's fur too... fuzzy.
He looks too much like a scruffy rat and less like a dragon.

The wings, unfortunately, look like blankets.

I also saw that you included my fairy.
XD

The coloring is nice though, and I love the smoke.

Dragons hardly ever have hair f.y.i
Whisper is more like a hybrid creature.
the only dragon aspects he has are his tail and wings, that's it.
the rest of his body is more hound-like, of course he can be drawn in Anthro poses.
